Watsons' sales reached 11 billion yuan in the first half of the year in China, contributing 15.05%
On Aug 1, WATsons' parent company Cheung Kong Hutchison Holdings Ltd released its financial results for the first half of 2019. According to the data, watsons' global sales volume reached 83.161 billion Hong Kong dollars (about 73.359 billion yuan), and its sales volume reached 12.312 billion Hong Kong dollars (about 11.035 billion yuan) in China. Beside, same-store sales rose 2.2% in the first half of 2019 compared with the same period last year in China. It was also the first positive year-on-year sales growth for Watsons stores in China since the index showed negative growth in 2015.
